COVID-19 has affected lives in more than just the usual routine. Many are struggling with the new normal and that’s ok. Care from services or family members may have been disrupted, access to normal support systems may have ceased, and personal well-being and mental health may be particularly difficult at this time. Clevedon Aid are here to help – no worry or need is too small.

We are able to transport those in need of medical care to the local hospitals if they no-one in their household is able to do so. This service is provided by mini-bus to maintain social distancing measures for the resident and volunteer.

We have a dedicated team who are able to offer a friendly chat whenever suits you. This may be to combat loneliness, to help deal with anxiety or stress or you may have other concerns. The volunteer team can listen and be a friendly voice in this potentially difficult time for many people. The team is able to help you contact professional services if needed.

Lots of the community have lost care services or are in circumstances where a routine hot meal is no longer available. We have teamed up with Teatro lounge and other local businesses to provide hot meals for free. Meals are available to a range of people in need including (but not limited to) FSM families, those isolating, those in financial difficulties. If you believe you or someone would benefit from this service please visit our website.

PPE is needed by many authorities and organisations across the town and in the local area. Clevedon Aid are coordinating to make sure the urgent needs are met. We have and are continuing to link all medical grade PPE to the NHS establishments in need. We are also providing PPE to all care-homes and key workers. We have a team of volunteers and businesses making masks, scrubs, wash bags etc either by hand or with specialist 3D printing equipment.  Clevedon Aid then distributed fairly to where it is needed. More information on our priority distribution system and PPE guidelines can be found online.
